End of Sprint 3: Sprint Retrospective

What went well?

I have developed more proficiency and problem solving skills using visual scripting in Unreal Engine. I am starting to gain some familiarity with Blueprints and the functions that each of the nodes serve. I was able to teach myself to use Enumerators to create a system where the look of the player character and their abilities was dependent on the player pressing a corresponding button. While it does have a lot of glitches, it at least works.

What went wrong?

This one task took up the entirety of the sprint and several other tasks have had to be put on hold.

What could be improved

I need to prioritise getting the game mechanics implemented and I need to make sure I don’t get distracted by smaller tasks or applying ‘finishing touches’. I need to spent the next sprint implementing the rest of the RPG mechanics including a quest system and also a system that allows the player character to interact with various non-player characters.
